We hiked from Third Beach south of LaPush through to Oil City. The route has several ladders to navigate.

The coast is "decorated" with lost floats and other flotsam and jetsam. If you squint your eyes, these firs could almost be palms.

On what turned out to be a cold, snowy weekend, we headed to Deception Pass to camp. Jason, Dylan & J-Lo pose in front of the Deception Pass Bridge.

The trail to Olympic Hot Springs is almost entirely on an old road. This washout just before the springs can be very challenging to cross.

American Ridge Lodge, a CCC-built ski lodge near Chinook Pass in Central Washington.

The lodge sits on an old ski bowl and includes some ski/tube runs and miles of trails. It is a 1-mile snowshoe in the winter from the parking lot.
